Description
The annual Student Experience Conference offers a holistic examination from a cross section of universities and perspectives in relation to the latest trends in student experience.
At its core, the fundamental aim of the student experience is to bring opportunities for students to life, within the higher education environment. Whether this is in the form of cutting edge learning and teaching using the latest pedagogies and technology to opportunities for engagement and growth outside the classroom.
The challenge for higher education institutions is threefold. In an increasingly competitive marketplace, each individual institution must demonstrate the value proposition they can offer not only to prospective students but across the entire student lifecycle. They must then at an institutional and strategic level, position themselves to meet this proposition whilst managing the resources they have to bring the student experience to life. The third and most critical component is to then allow the students themselves to shape and form their own interpretation of the student experience on an engaged and personalised level.
This can be by any means, a difficult task. At the 2nd Annual Student Experience Conference well explore these challenges within an evolving and dynamically changing higher education environment.
Key topics that will be covered include:
Managing change
Student experience within strategic planning
Blending learning and technology
Building the campus
Student engagement
International students and partnerships
Indigenous engagement
Student experience in TAFEs
The conference will be held on the 9th and 10th December 2014, at the Royal on the Park in Brisbane.
