Description
Created in 1974, EuroCucina - the International Kitchen Furniture Exhibition - brings together in the same place the top Italian and foreign manufacturers, offering an infinite range of ideas and solutions for a domestic space that is not just functional.
EuroCucina, with 130 exhibitors occupying nearly 27,000 square metres, is Europe's only major trade show in the field. Its success is also attested by the number of professional visitors - 297,460, more than 50% of whom from 160 nations - the 5,791 communication operators and the over 30,000 visitors from the general public.
For the first time ever, EuroCucina will also feature kitchen equipment and accessories and will be as usual rounded off by the collateral event “FTK Technology for the Kitchen”, a showcase for the built-in appliance sector and cooker hoods for the kitchen of the future.
EuroCucina runs concurrently with the Salone Internazionale del Mobile, the International Bathroom Exhibition, the International Furnishing Accessories Exhibition and SaloneSatellite in the broader context of the Saloni 2012 at the Milan Fairgrounds in Rho.

Cosmit – Comitato Organizzatore del Salone del Mobile Italiano – is the company that organizes Milan's Salone Internazionale del Mobile. Salone, as it's popularly known, was founded in 1961 thanks to the insight of a small group of furniture makers, who were the driving force of the trade association Federlegno-Arredo. A vehicle for promoting Italian furniture exports, Salone soon became the most keenly awaited event in the world of furniture.
Besides the Salone, Cosmit also organizes several other major trade shows such as the biennial events Euroluce/International Lighting Exhibition, EuroCucina/International Kitchen Furniture Exhibition, SaloneUfficio/International Biennial Workspace Exhibition, International Bathroom Exhibition and the annual International Furnishing Accessories Exhibition.
Along with these commercial events, starting from 1998, Cosmit organizes the SaloneSatellite, that has grown to represent a launching pad for young designers and a landmark event for all manufacturers looking for new talents.
