Conference Background:
Along with the strong growth of the civil aviation manufacturing, the aircraft engine industry met an unprecedented opportunity for market development. In the next two decades, the civil aviation
market of the world will need 141, 000 units of aircraft engines, with a total value up to 800 billion dollars, and among them large demands come from Asia, Middle East and Latin American regions, which will also bring about after-sales services with a value around 600 billion dollars. Until 2028, the market capacity of Chinese aircraft engine will be about 103.4 billion dollars, and in terms of sub-contracting business, China will obtain more opportunities from the global aircraft engine manufacturing chain.
Although China has a large demand on aircraft engines, domestic engines occupy no share in
domestic trunk line and regional aviation markets. The gradually progressive general aviation
market, the launch of the project of developing and manufacturing domestic engine for C919 large
aircraft and the establishment of AVIC Commercial Aircraft Engine Co., Ltd. will create a new milestone for the advanced research and design, material processing, component & part manufacturing, component assembling and after-sales service and other fields of domestic civil aircraft engine industry.
The Conference on the Development of China Aircraft Engine Industry, initiated by Aeronautic Society of Heilongjiang, Liaoning, Sichuan, Shaanxi and Jiangxi Province jointly with Aero Engine Sub Committee of the Chinese Society of Aeronautics and Astronautics, AVIC Commercial Aircraft Engine Co., Ltd., China South Aviation Industry Group and Guizhou Liyang Aero-Engine Corporation, will be held in Shanghai on 25th & 26th April, 2012. The Conference gathers all general assembly and design organizations of aircraft engine in China, which will provide a unique business docking platform for domestic and overseas organizations engaged in the design, research and development, component & part manufacturing, general assembly and services of aircraft engine.
