Statistical Process Control or SPC for short is a statistically-based family of tools used to monitor, control and improve processes. This course covers the use of most common variable and attributes control charts including x-bar & R-charts, moving average charts, p-charts, u-charts, np charts, and c charts. Extensive training includes collecting sample subgroups, plotting points on control charts, and interpreting SPC charts. The training also include selecting and setting up SPC control charts using MS Excel, determining the best control chart format to use for a given process, what different patterns of instability tell you about a process, and a step-by-step tutorial for conducting process capability studies according to ISO/TS 16949 guidelines.
