The seminar was first held in 2007. Due to the good response, MPOB will continue organizing this seminar.
Objectives:
*Disseminate information and research findings from the MPOB-GSAS programme to the industry and interested parties
*Provide a platform for collaboration between MPOB and the universities
*Generate ideas for future research
This one-day seminar for 2008 will have 13 presentations from four research areas:
*Biology
*Chemistry & Processing
*Oleochemicals; and
*Food Research
*All papers will be presented by the principal researchers of MPOB supervising the students.
Benefits
*Increase awareness of the MPOB-GSAS programme and its benefits.
*Foster networking and R&D collaboration between MPOB and local universities.
*Disseminate the findings from MPOB-GSAS research for mutual benefit
