CIMES 2008, the 9th edition of China International Machine Tool & Tools Exhibition, organized jointly by China National Machine Tool Corporation, Reed Huayin Exhibitions and Capital Exhibition Services, will be held at the China International Exhibitions Center (CIEC & New CIEC), Beijing, on October 9-13, 2008. As the largest machine tool show in China, over 2,000 exhibitors from 30 different countries and 200,000 trade visitors from 70 countries worldwide are expected to fill the 100,000sq.m. exhibition space. The entire range of products and services for the metalworking technology will be on display with special emphasis on metal cutting machinery, forming machinery, mould processing machinery and much more.
CIMES is a biennial networking opportunity that has achieved great success through all 8 previous editions in Beijing, starting in 1992. It has also been granted the status of a UFI Approved International Event. CIMES 2006 housed 1,020 exhibitors from 25 countries worldwide, and saw 159,000 trade visitors cover the exhibition space of 75,000sq.m.
In 2008, when the next Olympic Games is to be held in Beijing, CIMES 2008 is expected to host more than 2,000 exhibitors and 200,000 trade visits , and cover a total exhibition space of more than 150,000sq.m. As Such, CIMES 2008 will be the third largest international machinery show, third only to EMO in Europe and IMTS in the US.
